The Kinsmen Club of Stayner & District or Stayner Kinsmen are proud to be a part of Kin Canada – an all-Canadian service organization made up of dedicated member volunteers who serve their community’s greatest need through hosting and sponsoring events and community service projects.
Stayner Kinsmen Club was formed in 1977 when a local group of like-minded men came together to help serve the communities of Stayner and the area; while having fun, and making lifelong friendships all while Serving the Community’s Greatest Need.
Over the years the club has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for various community projects through activities such as:
Cystic Fibrosis Toll Roads, Small Business Christmas Dinners, Comedy Nights, Dances, Beer Gardens, Golf Tournaments, etc.
In addition, the Club Proudly hosts a number of events each year for the community such as Music in the Park and a Beer/Wine Garden at the Stayner Music, Market and Park-it (Thursday Evenings June to August); Community outdoor Movie Nights; Santa Claus Parade (1st Saturday in December)
Funds Raised by the club go to Local Sports Teams and Youth Activities, Student Bursaries, Local Community Organizations, Food Bank, Hospice, Hospitals, Cystic Fibrosis Canada, Sick Kids Hospital, to name a few….
Since our early days, the Club has adopted Centennial Park, on Brock Street in Stayner. Over the years we have contributed to building a ParticipACTION Park, landscaping of the park, updating Playground Equipment, and most recently building a Community Pavilion/Picnic Shelter where the community can gather.
Are you interested in building your network, strengthening your leadership skills, and implementing change for your community?
We are always looking for like-minded individuals.
